Our History

Preferred Management Services, Inc. was founded in 1996. What began as ownership of an 84-unit property has grown to almost 1,400 units today. Our eight communities range in size from an 84-unit community to a complex with over 250 units. We only manage the properties we own. This not only eliminates much of the bureaucratic red tape that comes along with property management, but allows for a deeper personal investment in and relationship with each of our tenants.

Preferred Management Services has almost 50 employees, ranging from Property and Community Managers to Maintenance Technicians and Caretakers. Regardless of their position, our staff has made a commitment to maintain each of our communities to the highest standards. It is this dedication that ensures that each of our residents has the opportunity to experience the best that apartment living has to offer.

Our communities are located exclusively in Ramsey County. Minnesota. We pride ourselves on the service and amenities we are able to offer our residents. Each of our communities offers 24-hour emergency maintenance service, secured entryways, on-site laundry facilities, off-street parking and convenient access to public transportation. Many of our properties are conveniently located near schools, shopping centers, banks, medical facilities and parks; showcasing the best of Saint Paul, Maplewood & Falcon Heights.
